I remember seeing this and wondering why some sort of PLEXIglass couldn't be used, rather than regular glass...as far as it not being as vulnerable to damage. I'm not sure if that works (plastic, of course) for helping the environment, though...unless it is something similar made out of the garbage that they recycle. It's a very cool idea, though. It would be very interesting to see something like this take place. :-)

They claim that they can make glass the strength of steel. So, environmentily it would be the better product to use, I would think..
Probably, then...as opposed to plastic. :-/
