Countries to visit

Got this in an email this morning and don't know it's source, but thought that you might relate or at least enjoy it.

I have been in many places but I've never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity any more.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing.

Wind fires rage in the west.

Uncle Ron sent this series of pictures to me today and I thought that it would be something for us all to see. I simply can't imagine being in the middle of it all. And loosing soo much, property, animals, human life, it's just overwhelming.

Here is a link to the Denver Post Blogs.

Thanks Ron.

Sun Flower

This is a picture of a Sun Flower that I took this morning. The interesting part is that we didn't plant it, it kind of got there from the bird feeder that hangs above that spot. Sometimes those darn birds can be so messy, just throwing seeds around without a care in the world.

Sometimes it would be nice to be able to send them the bill for the birdseed :-)

I certainly know that the bee on it is having a great time.

Goodby to an old friend

Well, the engine finally starting getting tired and it was time to go. Sort of like having your dog put to sleep (well, in some strange way anyway). I just didn't want it to be scrapped though, because with some TLC, it could be revived and put back to work. I'm just not mechanical enough to do that sort of thing though :-(

So I went onto the web to Free Cycle.Org. If you've never heard of it, it's for people that have something that they don't have a use for anymore and just want to give it to a good home. We have a local chapter of it and we've used it often. As for the tractor, we definitely found a great home for it. A small local farmer, that can work on it, is giving it a new life. His kids are also enjoying riding in the trailer behind it around the yard.

Please do NOT get distracted while driving!!

Do you want to get away from it all?

Where is Matt?

These are great fun, enjoy.

And who remembers Matt back in 2008?

And this is how he did it!
