This was COOL, Tommy! Thanks! I'm always AMAZED at how some of these stunts are done! Nerves (and stomachs!) of STEEL, too, I'm thinking!

I went to see the 'Blue Angels' in San Francisco, one year, and that's the most THRILLING thing I think I have ever been a part of! Their precision is just AMAZING! No room for "mis-communication" on any of those stunts!

I had never seen a helicopter do stunts, before, but that is WAY COOL as I have always thought it would be cool to own a helicopter...especially when I see cool footage like that waterfall stunt and the magnificent footage in the wildlife preserve where the giraffe, etc. were running around.

I've got a good friend, that as soon as I mentioned this air show, said "if you want company I'll be MORE than happy to go with you".

I'd really like to get to it at some point.

ANY airshow ANYWHERE with ANY plane would be COOL for me! :-D

A few years back, we were out for a tootle and happened to drive by our regional airport. Nothing really big and...if you'll excuse me...I DON'T know all the different types of old planes but...they happened to have a little air show going on! We stopped in and they were giving rides on this old military "gunner" plane. I think the ride was either $100/ride or $400! At any rate, I know that we couldn't afford it but...I can remember seeing a dad and his [approximately] 8-year-old son get off of a ride and I tried really HARD to NOT envy the "snotty little Bastard;" I mean the "young man"! lol! Aw, heck...it was probably Dad's weekend and that was the only way he could get up in that plane AND "buy" his son's "adoration" all in one fell swoop! ;-)

But, yeah...I even asked about their flight instruction program and they were charging something like $6K to do that! Not so much in my near future, I don't think!

Another time, a couple of years back, now, I had just gotten my citizenship and I wanted to do something to really mark and celebrate the day so...I took a spin in an instruction plane where they offer to take you up to see if you might be interested in doing their flight program. It was FUN!!!!! :-D

I even LOVE to go to airplane museums and think about what the "lives" of each of the planes must have been like back in their day.

Oh and...guess what? This is 'Gweneth Paltrow Week,' Tommy! I forgot to tell you a little bit 'o trivia: did you know that her husband is Chris Martin...the front man for 'Coldplay' the music used in this vid? I saw him on 'Austin City Limits,' once and I LOVE his "intensity!" :-P Dude couldn't even sit on the piano bench, for a minute, without knocking the durn thing over! I'll have to see what I can roust up on that boy!

TC, if you like airplanes and ever get to the east coast you must go the the National Air and Space Museum which is near Washington Dulles International Airport.
