I have a question for you all. At this time of the year (Christmas) the number of advertisements for cars increases unbelievably and one question always comes to mind. You see, I have NEVER known anyone nor have I ever heard of anyone buying a car because it's Christmas.
Do any of you know of anyone that has actually bought a car because of these car commercials during the holidays? Thanks, in advance.

"It'$ all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$" How ture, How true!!!
But do you know of or have you ever heard of anyone actually buying a car or truck because it's Christmas?
No, I don't know of anyone buying a new car for Christmas, and I go back a lot of Christmases.
But since you mentioned this, I've been paying attention to the ads on TV myself, and you're absolutely right - everybody and his brother is trying to sell us a new car and they're offering special deals all over the place. Like the industry is trying desperately to recover from all those years of flogging all those cream-puff gas-guzzling behemoths none of us really needed, now that they've all recently gone bust or into Chapter 11 protection.
They haven't yet figured out that maybe we don't need a car that's smarter than we are - maybe we just want one that doesn't break the budget every fill-up, and doesn't die before its payments do.
And doesn't cost $500 for a $50 tune-up.
