Oil and Water

WOW, this is something that we all need to be aware of. I have deep fried turkeys, but certainly NOT a frozen one..

Water, when turned into steam expands in volume by something like 1,400 times.

At a nickel smelter one day, just before the molted metal was to be poured out onto its cooling bed via
an old ladle with a hole cut into the side to let it flow out as the crane's load of molten metal was poured into it, one of the workers passing by spit into the empty ladle. When the molten metal hit that, there was an explosion similar to what we saw in this video, except it was red hot molten nickel flying around.

This is a little bit odd: d'ya mean to tell me that there are peeps out there actually trying to deep-fry whole FROZEN turkeys?! SCARY world we live in, ain't it?! :-/

That is some amazing footage, though! I can see how CRAZY just trying to throw water on a grease fire, on the stove, could be! It's a good reminder to share, though. I'm thinking of kids, [in my case] who are learning to cook. :-/

Thanks, Tommy.

(WEIRD how a "worker" wouldn't know better about that, hey, Ray? So...d'ya know the ending to that story...other than what Tommy [probably correctly] came to the conclusion of?)
